There has been a further change since our last publication. I have taken over from Vicki Bannister as GM of the company. I continue to manage the airconditioning sales part of the business as well, so have my work cut out for me. Fortunately I am surrounded by a good team of people who offer me much needed support. Vicki is now a financial consultant to Ben Booysens and will be looking at high level financials.
Claude Nathoo is still in the seat of Operations / technical manager, but has also become my right hand man and I wish to thank Claude for his continued support.
I am pleased to announce that we have further increased our market share and sales in the last few months and I wish to thank all our valued customers, both our loyal existing customer base as well as new customers, for your support. I hope that we can continue to grow our relationship with you all and deliver service that meets and surpasses your expectations. Thanks must also go to the staff of Ben Booysen who have assisted in maintaining a streamlined approach to the business through increased efficiencies and productivity.
It is not often that an airconditioning company can genuinely say they are busy in winter, but through a lot of hard work from our staff and support from our clients we have been awarded a number of exciting new projects.
Collins Group have entrusted us with the revamp of 241 Victoria Road, which involves new airconditioning and ventilation systems for 2500m2 of tenanted office and retail space. We have been awarded the Roof Top Package unit and ducting installation at the Winston Churchill theatre – thanks to Centrelink Construction and the Department of Arts & Culture. Just last week we started work on the revamp of the Cedara College Auditorium, installing ducted and cassette split units as well as a 128Kw air cooled ducted split for the main Auditorium. A local company and loyal client of ours, Govenders Garage, have asked us to take on the works required for their new building. We continue to work closely with Gonal Construction and are currently busy with the State Archives and Bowden’s Residence.
Sheldon Holland is starting to grow the refrigeration side of the business and has recently completed two projects, one of which (a cold room in Vryheid ) he installed and commissioned himself. We also completed a new OK linked to a filling station in Edendale. There is a lot more work in the pipeline and we wish Sheldon every success in growing this division of the business.
Raveen Lutchman continues to run this side of the business for us and expertly juggles the technicians time and expertise to suit the varied needs of our customers. Raveen has also been tasked with securing new service contracts and in this respect he has managed to secure the following companies, many of whom are existing clients who have gone away and come back to us. We wish to thank them all for their support and list a few : Buckman Laboratories, Mondi, Eagle Furniture, Dystar Bohme Africa, Gijima, Midlands Vet, SA National Roads Agency and Profert cc.
NOTE FROM THE GM
We recently put up a double stand in Hall 7 at The Royal Show. It takes a lot of planning and thought to pull this off and we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those who got involved in this project. Thanks to our staff, suppliers, Claude Nathoo and Kerrrie Muldoon – who took overall charge of the stand. Our efforts were rewarded with a Silver Medallion.
If you would like advice on air-conditioning, refrigeration, ice- machines, heat pumps, ventilation, servicing or repairs, please contact us for the best options available.
Natalia and Hulamin Sites
We employ staff and have offices at both these sites and our managers, Mark Wilson and Kim Phillips continue to run their staff efficiently and effectively so as to minimize the breakdowns and downtime incurred by the sites concerned. Thanks to both of them as well as our two clients.
Part of our fleet of vehicles consists of Isusu bakkies from Team Delta and we are pleased to partner them in this regard.
