Booysens Contracting specializes in airconditioning, ventilation, heating systems, offering design, supply and installation including turnkey project solutions.

Our in-house professional team comprising mechanical engineering, senior qualified technical staff, and project co-ordinators allowing us flexibility to service all aspects of contracting.

We are supported by dedicated service, repair and maintenance departments.

Airconditioning Contracts

Our airconditioning contracts division headed up by Airconditioning Contracts Manager Paul Mornet with the support of the airconditioning contracts team, and field staff compliment of technicians and assistants.

Some of these recent projects include the new Virgin Active – Gateway, Quayside apartment block, and revamped Capital Towers & Joshua Doore Centre.
 

Virgin Active - Gateway

Ben Booysen are proud to be working in association with Mekan Consulting, Grinaker-LTA Building East and the Old Mutual Property Group (Pty) Ltd on the new Virgin Active at Gateway, Umhlanga Rocks.  Ben Booysen are responsible for the installation of a 630kw chilled-water airconditioning installation and unitary split type airconditoning installation.  In addition our scope of work in this instance includes a hot water system, providing pool heating and shower water heating through heat rejection reclamation.  This installation comprises the use of both Carrier and Daikin airconditioning units.

Quayside Apartment Block - Waterfront

The new Quayside multi story apartment block located on the Point Waterfront at Durban , is airconditioned by means of individual and multi-split type airconditioning systems with a total capacity of 750kW.  Ben Booysen also responsible for the ventilation, which is carried out by means of ducted extraction systems.  The apartment block has 13 levels from basement to the penthouse floor, and the apartments range from bachelor to duplex units.

 Capital Towers & Old Joshua Doore Building

The old Pietermaritzburg  Capital  Towers  cinema and hotel have been revamped into upmarket offices.  The airconditioning system installed in this intricate and complex building has a combined cooling capacity of 648kW.

Another one of Pietermaritzburgs older buildings being refurbished is the previous Joshua Doore centre.  Daikin VRV systems with a total capacity of 685kW of cooling, were supplied and installed in this instance.

New Distribution Centre A new Distribution Centre, a turn-key project for Ben Booysen included the installation of airconditioning, ventilation, pressurization and heating.

The insulated panelling installation totaled 5,000m², installed by our in-house professional panelling installation team.

Specialized Air-Pressurization, Heating and Airconditioning systems were designed, supplied and installed to the Yoghurt and Dessert Rooms.     Airconditioning to the administration offices, board-room, server rooms was carried out by means of a combination of split-type systems. Ventilation to the toilets, change-rooms, kitchens was carried out by means of ducted extraction systems and single extractor fans.
